The distinguished career journey of Dr. Tarik Najib
Dr. Tarik Najib is a distinguished faculty member at Wayne State University, where he has served since 2004. He is also the President and CEO of Professional Contracting & Consulting Inc., a firm he has led since 1996. With over two decades of experience in civil engineering, design, and construction management, Dr. Najib has established himself as a leader in both academia and industry.
He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Wayne State University, a Master’s in Liberal Arts from the University of Toledo, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Trine University (formerly Tri-State University).
Beyond his professional and academic work, Dr. Najib is deeply involved in community service. He holds multiple chairmanships in nonprofit organizations and currently serves as Chairman of the West Warren Business Association.
Dr. Najib is frequently called upon as an expert witness in Michigan courts, recognized for his technical expertise in engineering design and construction. He is also actively involved in developing training programs, conducting research, and securing grants that support both educational and industry advancement.
