Dr. Ismaiel Abuamoud

Dr. Ismaiel Abuamoud earned his Ph.D. in Tourism Economics from New Mexico State University in 2011. He served for 11 years at the Higher Council for Science and Technology, where he contributed to national research and policy development in Jordan. He was later appointed Commissioner for the Archaeological Park and Tourism in Petra, leading initiatives to preserve cultural heritage and promote sustainable tourism. Since 2014, Dr. Abuamoud has been a professor at the University of Jordan, where he currently serves as the Dean of the School of Archaeology and Tourism. His distinguished academic and professional career reflects a deep commitment to advancing tourism, cultural heritage, and sustainable economic development.
