Child Safety Standards
We are committed to protecting children and prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation across our council apps, website and community.
Last updated: October 4, 2026
1. Scope
These standards apply to all JABC users and cover profiles, posts, comments, direct and group messages, images and attachments. For this policy, a child is anyone under 18.
2. Prohibited content and behavior
- Creating, sharing, requesting or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including manipulated or AI-generated imagery.
- Grooming, sexual solicitation of children, sextortion, exploitation or child trafficking.
- Sexualizing children, promoting or facilitating their abuse, or directing users to exploitative content.
- Sharing children's private information in ways that endanger their safety.
3. Reporting and safety contact
Use in-app reporting tools to report a member or content, or contact the council support team for child safety concerns at info@jabcouncil.org with the subject “Child safety report”. You can contact us without an account or signing in.
Include the username, content link or identifier, the time of the incident and a brief description. Do not send, redistribute or attach images or videos of child exploitation to your email. You can also block the member in the app.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services directly.
4. Review and enforcement
The council team reviews reports and takes appropriate action, including removing prohibited content and restricting, suspending or terminating accounts. When we identify child sexual abuse material, we address it and report it to the relevant authorities in accordance with applicable legal requirements, cooperating with law enforcement where appropriate.
We handle report information carefully and limit disclosure to what is necessary for review, child protection and legal obligations. Retaliation against anyone reporting a concern in good faith is prohibited.
