Code of Conduct

Member Standards
Updated 2025 — All JABC members and website visitors

All JABC members agree to these standards as a condition of membership. These standards apply to all interactions within the portal, at JABC events, and in any professional context where you are representing your membership.

1. Professional Standards

  • Act with honesty, transparency, and integrity in all JABC interactions
  • Represent your company, title, qualifications, and authority accurately at all times
  • Treat all members, staff, and partners with dignity and respect — regardless of nationality, race, gender, religion, age, disability, or political belief
  • Do not use JABC membership or brand to mislead clients, investors, or the public
  • Protect confidential information obtained through JABC — this obligation survives membership termination
  • Do not use the JABC name, logo, or branding without prior written authorization
  • Report suspected violations confidentially to info@jabcouncil.org
  • Comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws in all business activities
  • Do not engage in or facilitate bribery, corruption, money laundering, or fraud

2. Platform Conduct

  • All posts, listings, and communications on the portal must be professional, accurate, and relevant
  • Defamatory, abusive, threatening, or discriminatory content is strictly prohibited
  • Misrepresentation of business capacity, credentials, or investment capabilities is prohibited
  • Members may not advertise competing membership organizations within the portal
  • Unsolicited commercial solicitation via direct messages is prohibited at Access and Startup tier
  • Do not attempt to screenshot, scrape, or extract member data for unauthorized use

3. Anti-Discrimination & Inclusion

JABC is committed to fostering an inclusive environment. We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or exploitative behavior in any form — including but not limited to discrimination based on nationality, race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, or political belief. Any such behavior will result in immediate membership termination.

4. Consequences of Violations

JABC may take the following actions at its sole discretion:

  • Formal written warning
  • Temporary suspension of portal access
  • Removal of specific content or listings
  • Permanent membership termination without refund
  • Reporting to relevant legal or regulatory authorities

5. Reporting Violations

If you witness a Code of Conduct violation by another member, please report it confidentially to info@jabcouncil.org. Include as much detail as possible.

JABC will investigate all reports fairly and confidentially. Retaliation against members who report violations in good faith is itself a violation of this Code.
